Who We Are and What We Do

The Data Analysis and Assessment Center (DAAC), initiated by the Department of Defense (DoD) High Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP), serves the needs of DoD HPCMP scientists to analyze an ever increasing volume and complexity of data. Our mission is to put visualization and analysis tools and services into the hands of every user. So, what can we do for you? (more)

Client-Server Software

Client-Server Software HPCMP users can obtain special versions of EnSight, ParaView, and VisIt that will establish a remote connection to the supercomputers. Find out where to get the tarball files for easy HPC job launching and more (here)

Select the Best Colormap for Your Data

A visualization image displayed in several different colormaps. Many analysis packages default to the standard rainbow colormap. However, this is often not the best option. Prove this to yourself by playing with the new colormap utility. Select a dataset that best matches your data type and explore the options. We've worked with EnSight, ParaView and VisIt vendors to make these colormap selections available.

Secure Remote Desktop

SRD allows any active HPCMP researcher to launch a Gnome desktop from an HPC system with graphics nodes; the remote desktop is displayed on the user's client platform (Linux, Mac, or Windows). (more)

DAAC Supported Software

The DAAC supports EnSight, ParaView, and VisIt for the DoD HPCMP community. Here you will find useful information relevant to operating these packages within the HPCMP environment. (more)
