VisIt Point3D Format
Point3D is an ASCII format for 3-D points that have only one scalar variable. The first line of the file is a comment line. It contains the (X,Y,Z) coordinate names and the scalar variable's name. After the comment line, the (X,Y,Z) values and the scalar variable's values are given. For example:
